Delivering critical resources to autocratically leaning nations where legal systems are often manipulated for political purposes, the program trains trial lawyers, defense attorneys, prosecutors, and justice professionals in U.S.-style trial advocacy to promote due process, judicial independence, and fairness. In collaboration with our partners, the program has been empowering lawyers from Africa, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia.

The program focuses on using reliable evidence to ensure fairness, particularly in systems where evidence is distorted or withheld to serve political ends. By mastering cross-examination and the use of credible evidence, legal professionals can fight prosecutorial misconduct and judicial bias, strengthening legal systems through accountability, transparency, and resistance to authoritarian influence.
